Hyundai Motor India is planning to launch Alcazar on June 17 in India. The three-row seat SUV shall be launched on June 17 or may be brought forward or delayed by one or two days depending on the lockdown restrictions and situation around the country.

Engine Options, Interior Features & Exterior Design
Alcazar shares its foundations with a small Creta SUV. However, the engine options are slightly different. The diesel model will use the same 1.5 liter turbocharged engine as the Creta, delivering the same torque of 115hp and 250Nm. But the gasoline engine is a large 2.0-liter unit borrowed from the big Tucson. At Alcazar, it will run out of fuel to produce 159hp and 192Nm of torque. Both of these engines will also be available with 6-manual automatic and manual transmission.
Alcazar will take the best pieces from Crete and increase the offering. Designed to offer a 2,760mm long wheelbase, 150mm above Crete. And it is much longer in its class compared to Safari and Hector Plus. At Hyundai they will offer Alcazar a 7-seat suspension, or a 6-seat captain’s seat in the center with a center console. It will be equipped with a 10-inch infotainment system with a Hyundai BlueLink infotainment system like Creta, wireless charging pads for the first and second row of seats, a panoramic sunroof and more.
Alcazar will use Creta as its base but will have its bespoke touch of distinction. The flexible front grille retains Crete design but will come in a new chrome-plated design. The fog lamp house has also been updated by Alcazar. In profile, the Alcazar is a tall car with different variations across the C-column with a large quarter glass panel. It will also feature 18-inch alloy wheels, much larger than the Crete. At the back, the Alcazar is styled to have a more tailgate, while the LED tail lights have also been updated.

As it is expected to lock horns with the Hector Plus, Safari and the upcoming XUV700, the Alcazar is expected to be priced between Rs 14 lakh to Rs 19 lakh (ex-showroom) and announce the prices of the Alcazar later this month.
