4.69 Lakh TCS Employees Will Get Upto 14% Salary Hike: 2nd Hike In 180 Days! (Find Out Why?)

India’s biggest IT company: TCS has announced a 2nd round of salary hike, within 180 days.

In this recent hike program, around 4.6 lakh employees will get salary hike of upto 14%, and will be applicable from April, 2021.

What’s the reason of this sudden, second salary hike?

Bonanza For TCS Employees: 2nd Salary Hike In 180 Days

TCS has indeed surprised the industry, and their employees as they have just announced a 2nd salary hike.

4.69 lakh employees of TCS, both in India and abroad, will get between 12-14% salary hike, based on their performance, and reports.

The salary hike will be applicable from April, 2021.

A TCS spokesperson confirmed this development, as he said “We can confirm that we are on track to give increments to all associates across our geographies effective April 2021, in line with our benchmarks.”

What’s The Reason For This Sudden Salary Hike?

While explaining the reason behind this unexpected salary hike, the TCS spokesperson said that the hard work and flexibility shown by the employees during these testing times of pandemic and lockdowns is the primary reason.

He said, “We are extremely thankful to all our associates for demonstrating resilience, adaptability, and an innovative mindset to steer the company in these trying times. This step is a reflection of our steadfast commitment to our associates,”

The last salary hike was announced around 6 months back in October, when the TCS employees received salary hike of 6% to 8%.

But this time, the hike is much higher, and will cover all 4.69 lakh employees of TCS.

Besides the hike, TCS will continue the normal process of promotions of the eligible employees.

Due to robust demand and a slew of new projects, most of the big IT companies have been rolling out salary hikes, one-time appraisals and bonuses for their employees.

Today we reported Accenture announcing a 1-week salary as a bonus for all employees.

Cognizant too announced a surprise salary hike this month.
