Infosys Will Hire 12,000 Amercicans; Hike Salary Of 1.2 Lakh Indian Employees In Septeber
Indian IT behemoth has confirmed that they will hire 12,000 American employees in the next two years.
Meanwhile, more than 1 lakh Indian employees will get salary hike and promotions in the month of September.

Infosys Will Hire 12,000 Americans
As part of their commitment to increase local hiring in the US, and to generate more job opportunities in the US, Infosys has confirmed that they will hire 12,000 more Amercians by 2022.
In 2017, Infosys had promised to hire 25,000 Americans for the US campus, and this recent announcement of hiring 12,000 in the US part of that strategy.
13,000 employees have already been hired by Infosys in the US as of now.
Salil Parekh, CEO, Infosys said, “Infosys has been intensely focussed on creating jobs in the US for the past three years, and I am proud that this new commitment to hire 12,000 American workers by 2022 expands on that previous initiative,”
Interestingly, unlike in India, Infosys will hire both engineers and non-engineers in the US.
Besides techhies and computer science graduates, Infosys will also hire graduates of liberal arts, and other non-tech streams.
Infosys CEO said, “Utilising the training and reskilling programmes it has built with partners, including the recently launched Reskill and Restartinitiative, Infosys will prepare workers for 21st-century careers,”
In the last 3 years, Infosys has already created 6 campuses at Indiana, North Carolina, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Texas, and Arizona.
Infosys’ major recruitment drive in the US will help thousands of unemployed Amercians to get a job amidst coronavirus pandemic, and it’s indeed one of the biggest job creation campaign by an Indian company in the US.
Infosys Will Hike Salaries Of 1.2 Lakh Employees In India
Meanwhile in India, Infosys will increase salary and give promotions to 1.2 lakh employees.
As declared last month, Infosys will give promotions to majority of mid-level and junior employees in India, who are JL 5 and below.
Out of 2.4 lakh employees in India, 1.2 lakh fall in this category.
It’s not yet clear about the percentage of salary hike.
