Last year after the ZenFone controversy, the company launched Asus ZenFone 6 as Asus 6Z in India. Similarly the upcoming ZenFone 7 series might land up in India soon probably as Asus 7Z and Asus 7Z Pro. ZenFone 7 has been tipped multiple times to be another entry-premium flagship killer.
Key details regarding the upcoming Asus ZenFone 7 have been leaked including the ZenFone 7 Pro model.
Some new information has surfaced about the rumoured series online.
The company is said to be ready with the ZenFone 7 lineup. The devices may launch in some weeks after the ROG Phone 3 launch. The leaked Asus smartphone with ID number ASUS_I002D surfaced on NCC is being tipped as Asus ZenFone 7.
NCC or National Communications Commission is the certification agency in Taiwan where the device has been certified.
Also, the same Asus model with the same model number ZS670KS is found on TUV Rheinland Japan. The Asus 7Z / ZenFone 7 NCC certification features the model number ZS670KS.

As previously leaked, the company is expected to launch two devices under the ZenFone 7 series as part of the upcoming Asus entry-premium flagship lineup. The series will include the ZenFone 7 and the ZenFone 7 Pro. The leaked details hint at a 6.7-inch display on the device.
The Asus 7Z will have a full-screen display as well with a flipping camera as we saw on Asus 6Z, a unique take on offering a full-screen display.
ZenFone 7 will feature a similar flipping camera as the predecessor. Asus 6Z came with dual cameras, while Asus 7Z will pack more sensors into the flippable camera unit, probably a quad camera setup.
NCC listing also revealed 512GB internal storage, NFC, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.0 for connectivity.
The TUV Rheinland certification from Japan confirms the device with 5,000mAh battery with 30W fast charging technology support. The device will ship with the fast charger.
Geekbench listing codenamed ‘Asus ZF’ confirmed ZenFone 7 with a Qualcomm chipset, 16GB of RAM and Android 10 out of the box.
With 16GB of RAM as the upcoming Asus ROG 3, the Asus 7Z will run on Snapdragon 865 chipset. While nothing has been officially confirmed, Asus ZF could be ZenFone 7. Asus ZenFone 7 / Asus 7Z will pack in 512GB of storage, Snapdragon 865 chipset and 5G connectivity.
Asus ZenFone 7 Price, Launch: To Cost Under 30,000 In India?
Asus ZenFone 7 price is expected to be in line with the price of Asus 6Z in the country. Asus flagship from last year is now available starting at Rs 27,999 in India. Asus 7Z price in India is expected to start at around Rs 30,000 in the entry-premium flagship space.
Asus ZenFone 7 price in the global market could stay in the $499 category.
Asus 6Z has the unique flipping camera, a flippable dual camera module using the 48MP lens which doubles as a front and rear camera. Asus 6Z offers a full-screen display and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
