In a big move Govt has ordered every smartphone brand in India to keep Aarogya Setu by default.
Meanwhile Govt has ordered that every Central Govt employees will have to mandatorily install Aarogya Setu app.
Every Smartphone Should Have Aarogya Setu App
Govt of India has ordered that any smartphone sold in India henceforth must have the Aarogya Setu App by default.
This has been confirmed by Manufacturers Association for Information Technology (MAIT).
However, since smartphone manufacturing and selling is not allowed as of now, this installation cannnot be done right away. But as soon as manufacturing begins, the Aarogya Setu app will be installed in every smartphone.
A Govt official said, “Based on those experiences, India has made its own effort through the app which will be an essential tool in India’s fight against the pandemic. He also referred to the possibility of the app being an e-pass which could subsequently facilitate travel from one place to another,”
Meanwhile, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has thanked all phone brands to make Aarogya Setu app a huge success. Already 8 crore Indians have installed this app, and the numbers are growing every second.
Within 13 days, this app had crossed 5 crore downloads, making it the fastest growing app in the world.
Using this app, Govt can initiate contact tracking like Singapore and South Korea did, and also enables the user to stay alert and aware.
This app will showcase if you have crossed the path of any coronavirus positive person or not, and give updates, news about this deadly epidemic.
Aarogya Setu app Must For All Govt Employees
Meanwhile, Govt has ordered every Govt employee to download and install Aarogya Setu app, by rule.
After downloading and activating the app, the Govt employee should update their status. If the status on Aarogya Setu app is safe or low risk, then it means that there have been no infections nearby, and the user is out of danger.
