Coronavirus Health Insurance By Airtel Payments Bank
Airtel Payments Bank Will Offer Coronavirus health insurance to all their customers. This unique health insurance scheme has been launched in association with Bharti AXA General Insurance.
All Airtel Payments Bank customers, who are not currently infected with coronavirus can avail this health insurance plan.
Here are the highlights:
- There are two health insurance plans offered: Bharti AXA Group Health Assure, wherein the customer will get a lumpsum benefit of Rs 25,000 and the other one is Group Hospital Cash wherein the insured person can daily Rs 500 to cover medical expenses related with coronavirus.
- There is no pre-medical checkup required.
- Only those Airtel Payments Bank customers who are not infected with coronavirus can avail this health insurance scheme
- In case the patient is required to quarantine for 14 days, then 50% of the sum assured can be availed.
- For the lumpsum amount of Rs 25,000 assured in case of coronavirus positive case, the Airtel Payments Bank customer needs to pay Rs 499.
Sanjeev Srinivasan, MD and CEO, Bharti AXA General Insurance said, “We believe that ensuring a safety net against the financial repercussions of COVID-19 or any disease is just as important as exercising precautions against it,”
All Insurance Firms Will Honor Death Claims Due To Coronavirus
Meanwhile industry body Life Insurance Council has said that all insurance companies will settle the death claims related with coronavirus, without any delay.
The Council has specifically stated that the clause of Force Majeure will be not applied, according to which a claim can be denied due to a natural occurrence that cannot be anticipated or calculated.
Life Insurance Council Secretary-General S N Bhattacharya said, “We reiterate that all life insurance companies stand by their customers in these difficult times and the customer should not be swayed by misinformation or misrepresentation,”
