The next Redmi Note series will launch during the same period as Redmi Note 7 series. Redmi Note 9 series will launch in China first, and then in India.

Redmi Note 8 Pro has already been a huge success in India, and so is Redmi Note 8, so the expectations are high with the upcoming Redmi Note 9 series.

According to the floating reports, Redmi Note 9 series as the predecessors will comprise two primary Note 9 phones and maybe some other improved versions with some little change in features, which will launch later. Redmi Note 8 series came to India in October 2019.

Redmi Note 9 Pro will pack in glass design as the predecessors with some new colour combinations. Redmi Note 7 Pro and Redmi Note 8 Pro came with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protections with a gradient back design.

The leaks suggest Note 9 Pro in a gradient design as the Redmi K20 series. 

Coming to display, Note 9 Pro will again come with a similar IPS LCD panel as other Redmi Note series phones.

Redmi Note 8 Pro comes with a 6.53-inch Full HD+ screen offering an immersive 91.94 per cent screen-to-body ratio. On the out, the smartphone comes with a glass sandwich body sporting a 3D curved curved glass.

Redmi Note 9 Pro will run on a new Snapdragon 700 series processor, expected to be Snapdragon 730. The company has already used it in Redmi K20, and the device has been great in terms of midrange performance.

Redmi Note 8 Pro comes with the newly launched MediaTek Helio G90T processor. The company will again put special focus on gaming performance as the current Redmi Note smartphone.

Redmi Note 9 Pro will also be setting some new standards with the camera, and hence Sony IMX686 64MP is expected as the main camera. Note 8 Pro comes with the 64MP camera. The Redmi smartphone features a primary 64MP Samsung GW1 sensor with f/1.7 aperture, 2MP depth sensor, 8MP Ultra Wide lens and 2cm Macro lens.

Redmi Note 8 Pro already comes with Samsung 64MP sensor, so Note 9 Pro may also have the largest 108MP sensor.

It’s going to be a four-camera setup with wide-angle lens, a depth sensor and a macro camera. Upfront, currently Redmi Note 8 Pro comes with a single 13MP shooter, and Note 9 Pro is expected to get an improved 20MP shooter with similar AI supported features.

Lastly, the same 4,500 mAh battery is expected on Redmi Note 9 Pro with battery capacity optimisation. The company already offers 18W fast charging, and either the same or a higher speed fast charging could be offered with Note 9 Pro.

Recently Realme offered a better 30W fast charger with the mid-range Realme X2.

So, Xiaomi may choose to go with the existing 27W fast charging or their own new 30W fast charging charger for Redmi Note 9 Pro.

Redmi Note 9 Pro India Price, Redmi Note 9 Pro Launch In India

Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro India launch will happen after the inaugural China launch. The Redmi Note 9 Pro launch in China is expected in February 2020. The device should launch in the first quarter of 2020, and it will come to India in a few weeks. 

The base model of Redmi Note 8 Pro with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage will be available for Rs 14,999. The 6GB RAM with 128GB storage model will cost you Rs 15,999. There is also a top-end 8GB RAM and 128GB storage at Rs 17,999.

Redmi Note 9 Pro price in India will remain the same as Redmi Note 8 Pro. The Note 9 Pro India price will start at the same under 15,000 segment targeting the entry mid-range smartphones.

The company has been following a six-month-refresh-strategy for its Redmi Note series phones, in both India and China.

Redmi Note 9 Pro India launch is expected in March or April, so it’s safer to assume a four to six weeks timeline for the Note 9 series smartphones to come to India. Redmi Note 9 India launch will happen at the same event as Note 9 Pro.
