Redmi 8 Series India Launch On October 1: Full Specs, India Pricing, Availability
As Xiaomi gears up to bring in its latest Note 8 series to the country, it has been leaked that Redmi 8 series will debut by then. The reports suggest new devices which includes a budget 48MP smartphone. The series will have a standard Redmi 8, Redmi 8 Pro and a entry-level Redmi 8A.
The company previously confirmed that come to India after 8 weeks, which gives us a date in around early November.
Xiaomi will launch Redmi 8 series on October 1 at an event in China, with an India launch expected around late 2019. The company is also rumoured to launch Mi Band 4 in India soon, and the Mi Band 4 India pricing has been leaked as well.
Redmi 8 Series India Launch On October 1: What’s In The Box?
As the other series under budget, Redmi 8 series will succeed the current generation Redmi budget smartphones. The company is already facing some stiff competition in the under 10,000 budget segment against Realme, and Redmi 8 series could be a perfect answer.
Redmi 8 series will include a standard Redmi 8 variant, a Redmi 8 Pro variant an entry-level Redmi 8A.
Of the three, Redmi 8 Pro is going to be the top model of the series, tipped to feature a 48-megapixel camera. All the three smartphones are supposed to launch on the same day at the October 1 launch event in Beijing, China.
Redmi 8, Redmi 8 Pro & Redmi 8A: Specs, Features
The images show the same designs as the current Redmi 7 series and other Redmi smartphones. The specs of the upcoming smartphones revealed in TENAA listing leaked shows that Redmi 8 Pro will feature a 6.2-inch HD+ display with a water drop notch. The sizes will vary for the other Redmi 8 models.
All the Redmi 8 smartphone will feature MIUI 9 custom UI based on Android 9 Pie. All smartphones will be powered octa-core processors with different models of each to be available in 2GB, 3GB and 4GB variants with 16GB, 32GB and 64GB storage options. All the devices will support expandable storage up to 512 GB.
All the smartphones will come with dual camera systems, where Redmi 8 Pro is rumoured to feature a primary 48MP camera.
Redmi 8 leaks show a HD+ water drop notched display, dual rear camera system, powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 439 chipset, MIUI 9.7.11 software version based on Android 9 Pie, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.
Redmi 8 Series India Pricing: All Under Rs 10,000?
Redmi series smartphones have always targeted the budget segment, and hence the Redmi 8 series in India will come at a similar pricing as its predecessors. All the Redmi 8 smartphones are expected to start at under Rs 10,000. Redmi 8 Pro will be the top-end model of the three, and it will feature the 48MP shooter.
Redmi 8A will the cheapest of the three, expected to start at around Rs 6,000 to Rs 7,000.
Finally, the standard Redmi 8 will sit perfectly between the Pro version and entry-level A model at around 8,000 rupees for the base model. All the variants will come in different models varying between storage and RAM. The Redmi 8 smartphones will launch in India in late 2019.
