The sale of automobiles has been constantly declining in India, with automobile companies having to shut down production.
A report published by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers shows us that while there has been a good sale of automobiles in June 2019, the numbers haven’t matched up to their own records of last year.
Cars by Maruti have managed to dominate the list, with a score of seven out of ten, while the other three are of Hyundai.

Maruti Suzuki Bags 7 On 10 In The Top Ten List: Maruti Alto Tops The List Again!
Maruti Suzuki’s Alto has always been at the top of the list of the top ten best selling cars, except the year 2018, when Maruti Suzuki’s Dzire achieved the feat of dethroning the former.
That feat was, however, short-lived and Maruti Alto has again taken its place at the top of the list. Maruti Alto was one of the two cars who saw a rise in sales as compared to last years’, the other one being Maruti Eeco.
The total sale of the top ten cars was 1,18,352 units in June 2019, and in June 2018, the sale was 1,28,566 units in India.
Top Ten Bestselling Cars: Overview
June 18 saw Maruti Alto sell 18,070 cars, whereas, in June 2019, the number went as high as 18,733, marking a 3.67% growth. Second in line is Maruti Swift with 16,330 units sold in 2019, which was 18,171 in 2019 with a 10.13% decline in sales.
Maruti Dzire stands third and has recorded a sale of 14,868 units in 2019, which was 24,465 in 2018, declining by 39.23%. At fourth position is Maruti Baleno with 13,689 units sold in 2019 and 17,850 in June 2018.
At the fifth position in the top ten best selling cars list is Maruti WagonR, with a 9.57% decline in sales. It sold 10,228 cars in June 19, and 11,311 in June 18. Hyundai i20 is sixth with a sale of 9,271 units this year followed by Maruti Eeco with 9265 units sold.
Maruti Brezza and Hyundai Venue stand eighth and ninth, with a sale of 8,871 and 10,713 units respectively.
Tenth in line is Hyundai Creta with 8,334 cars sold in June 18 and 11,111 in June 19.
