Realme X India Launch Confirmed, Redmi X To Launch In India As Poco F2?
Soon after announcing its entry in China, Realme is all set to unveil an all new flagship smartphone in the new market. It will start with launching Realme X and Realme 3 Pro in China.
But, a BIS certification in India has confirmed the launch of the new Realme X in the country at the same time.
Not only BIS, Realme India CEO Madhav Seth himself has confirmed that Realme X is coming to India soon.
Realme X and Realme 3 Pro will launch on May 15 in China. Interestingly, the new Realme flagship will go against Redmi’s upcoming X flagship. The Redmi smartphone is also set to launch just a day before on May 14.
While Realme X has been confirmed to be launching in India, Redmi X is being tipped to launch as Poco F2 in the country.

Realme X India Launch: All You Need To Know
The upcoming Realme X has been certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) hinting at an imminent India launch. The BIS certification confirms the arrival of the first Realme smartphone with a pop-up camera.
It’s just the certification, and the company is yet to announce a date for the Realme X India launch.
Though, it’s been confirmed by the company CEO already, and yes, the former Oppo sub-brand will launch Realme X in India very soon.
The smartphone may arrive soon after its launch in China, either maybe on the same week or May end.
The BIS certification has passed a Realme RMX 1901 model under Oppo, a variant of the upcoming Realme flagship. Realme X is also going to be the first entry premium smartphone from Realme to be launched in the country.
Realme X Specs Leaked: Realme X Features & Specifications
The TENAA listing revealed that the Realme flagship will come with a 6.5-inch notch-less full-screen panoramic display with an in-display fingerprint sensor and a pop-up selfie sensor on top.
Realme X will have a similar body as upcoming Reno Lite with a notch-less edge to edge display.
At the back, the smartphone will have a sturdy gradient back finish made out of plastic.
The TENAA listing also confirmed that Realme X will come with a 3,680 mAh battery, expected to be backed by company’s new Micro USB powered 20W VOOC 3.0 fast charging technology.
The smartphone’s hardware has not been listed yet, but a recent leak suggests that Realme X will run on a Qualcomm’s newly launched mid-range Snapdragon 730 chipset.
In terms of optics, the smartphone is tipped to feature a rear dual camera setup featuring a 48MP + 5MP camera setup. The main sensor could be the Sony IMX 586 48MP lens.
In China, Realme X is said to start at CNY 1,799 (around Rs 18,550).
The regular Realme X may cost somewhere between Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000 in India.
Realme X Will Come With Snapdragon 855 SoC?
Realme X is said to launch in multiple variants as the upcoming OnePlus 7 series. A new leak says that the ex-Oppo sub-brand will come with Pro variant of the Realme X running on the latest Qualcomm flagship 7nm octa-core chip, Snapdragon 855.
The regular variant is said to be running on the mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 chip.
The Realme X may launch in India with a different name under a new series. The company is expected to kickstart a brand new entry premium series with Realme X from China.
If there’s a pro version, Realme X Pro will be become Realme’s first true flagship smartphone. Apart from RMX 1901, BIS has also certified another Realme smartphone with the model number RMX 1945.
Poco F2 India Launch: Redmi X To Launch In India As Poco F2?
The Snapdragon 855 Redmi phone will go official on the same day as OnePlus 7 series in China. The Redmi flagship phone is being rumoured to be named as Redmi X, but the company GM recently said, it will have a different name.
The company has confirmed that a Redmi flagship exists, but Redmi X is not the name of the upcoming Redmi smartphone.
The smartphone may not come to India at all. There has been rumours that Redmi X will inspire the next Poco smartphone.
The company actually may launch Redmi X as Poco F2 directly in India according to the growing rumours. Xiaomi has always been hesitant about bringing flagships to India, so Redmi X may not come to it’s largest foreign market.
Poco being its hit entry premium flagship series in India, Redmi X may launch in the country as Poco F2. The second generation Poco F2 is also speculated to launch in the second quarter, so Redmi X may come remodeled as Poco F2 in India.
