Realme is expected to launch the second generation Realme C2 at the upcoming Realme 3 Pro event. Last year the company launched Realme C1 along with Realme 2 Pro, and hence the same is expected this year as well.
Realme 3 Pro will launch on April 22 at the Delhi University stadium.
While the rumours are already flying, nothing official has been yet confirmed by Realme. Realme C1 too was a surprise as nothing was teased ahead of the launch.
A new leak is out revealing some key specs. Let’s check out.
Realme C2: Specs & Features
The upcoming second generation Realme C2 will come with a MediaTek Helio P22 SoC. If compared, Realme C1 ran on Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor. Realme C1 turned out to very successful in the entry-level smartphone segment directly challenging Redmi 6A.
The pricing was very competitive, and the company again re-launched a new model with higher storage capacity early this year.
Realme C2 will sport an 8-megapixel camera sensor up front. Realme C1 comes with a 5-megapixel front sensor.
Realme C1 caught attention when it offered a notched display and a massive battery at such a pricing. The notch-loving fans went crazy, a first during that time in the segment.
While the first Realme C smartphone came with a wide first generation notch, the upcoming Realme C2 is said to sport a water drop notch display this time. It is expected to come with a similar display as Realme 3.
Unlike Realme C1, this time Realme C2 will come with a rear dual camera system. The smartphone will have two cameras at the back featuring a 13-megapixel primary sensor coupled with a 2-megapixel secondary lens. There will be added modes as well backed by AI features.
Coming to the software, Realme C2 will run on the latest Android Android 9 Pie with Color OS 6.0 on top.
The battery is expected to remain same, again with a Micro USB. Realme C2 will house the same 4,230 mAh battery, capable of running upto two days on moderate use.
Realme C2: India Price & Launch
Realme C2 is going to be priced very aggressively again. The price may not change and may come with the same price as Realme C1 variants. As Realme 3 sits perfectly starting at under 9,000 rupees, Realme C2 India price will be around Rs 8,000.
Currently, the new Realme C1 2019 edition is available in two variants with 2GB and 3GB RAM respectively.
The same is expected with Realme C2. The base model will again come with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage at around 7,000 rupees and the top model with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage at around 8,000 rupees.
Realme hasn’t confirmed any details about the Realme C2 yet.
But just like last year, the company is expected to launch Realme C2 this year with Realme 3 Pro. The launch happens next week on April 22.
