The new Redmi Note packs in a water drop notch, gradient finish, Snapdragon 660 chipset, all at under 10,000 bucks. Realme 3 on the other hand, takes on Redmi Note 7 with its own budget flagship features.

Let’s do a quick comparison to find who’s going to be a better contender the under 10K segment.
Design & Build
Realme 3 has an all-plastic body with a gradient finish. In comparison, Redmi Note 7 has a glass sandwich body protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The new Redmi Note 7 looks more stylish compared to Realme 3.
In terms of looks, both do a great job. But the complete glass body on Redmi Note 7 stands out against the all-plastic Realme 3.
Display
Redmi Note 7 sports a 6.3-inch Full HD+ LTPS display with a dot notch in a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The display offers a screen resolution of 1080 × 2340 pixels. While Realme 3 features a 6.2-inch IPS LCD display with a 720p+ resolution

Though, built on a more efficient 12nm process, Realme 3 with Helio P70 will offer 40 percent lower power consumption and will offer a more refined performance. Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 is built on a 14nm-based process.
Storage
Realme 3 offers upto 64GB of internal storage with support for expandable memory. In India, Realme 3 is available in two variants: 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage and 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage.
Redmi Note 7 has also been launched in similar storage models: 3GB+32GB and 4GB+64GB, both support expandable storage.
Software
Redmi Note 7 runs on MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie. Similarly, Realme 3 also runs on the new Color OS 6.0 based on Android Pie. The new OS has some upgraded features including a number of tweaks and a near-stock Android experience.
As both have their respective UIs, it’s up to particular use preferring an OS.
Rear Camera
Realme 3 sports a dual rear camera system consisting of a 13MP f/1.8 primary sensor and a second 2MP depth sensor. In comparison, the Redmi Note 7 will come with a 12-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture paired with a secondary 2-megapixel depth sensor.
Both the smartphones are capable of capturing some great shots with ample details in good lighting and average low light performance.

Redmi Note 7 vs Realme 3: CONCLUSION
Both Realme 3 and Redmi Note 7 are pretty good budget phones from Xiaomi and Realme each. Redmi Note 7 comes with a new book, better-looking display and an awesome camera. While, the Realme 3 has a better processor, a plastic body to save against falls, slightly larger battery and a new OS.
Both Redmi Note 7 and Realme 3 are complete packages at their respective prices.
Realme 3 is priced very aggressively and is a great option under 9,000 rupees. But, Redmi Note 7 would win against Realme 3 with 1,000 rupees more. Redmi Note 7 actually beats all the best selling budget smartphones in the range.
To sum up, Realme 3 has a better processor, but a downgraded display. Redmi Note 7, on the other hand, is well above average in all the departments. Redmi Note 7 has a clear advantage here over the Realme 3.
