The all-new 2018 iPhone model has been launched, and the new lineup consists of three new iPhones: iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR. All the three iPhones are priced differently, but they share a lot in common.
Apart from iPhones, the company also launched the all-new Apple Watch Series 4 and announced the official release dates for iOS and MacOS Mojave.
All these three new iPhones interestingly share a lot of features and core specs, making it difficult for users to pick one. Apart from pricing, let’s find out what’s different in these three new iPhones.

All the iPhones may have a lot of features in common, but they have distinctive comparable features as well.
Built
Starting with the built, the iPhone XR has an aluminum body with a glass built on both front and back. On the other hand, the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max have a stainless steel body on the out with a glass back and front.
Display
The iPhone XR comes with a 6.1-inch LCD Liquid Retina Display having a pixel density of 326 ppi. While the iPhone XS has a 5.8-inch OLED Super Retina display having a pixel density of 458 ppi and iPhone XS Max has a 6.5-inch OLED Super Retina display with a pixel density of 458 ppi.
Hardware & Software
All the three new iPhones will come with the latest A12 Bionic chipset, the first 7nm chipset offering a 50 percent faster performance compared to existing A11. The A12 Bionic has also been claimed to process 5 trillion operations per second. Coming to software, all the three iPhones will run the latest iOS 12 out of the box.
Waterproofing
The iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max will come with IP68 certification which means both the smartphones are going be waterproof and dust-proof. On the other hand, the iPhone XR will have an IP67 spill-proof certification.
Camera
All the three new iPhones have the same 12 megapixel OIS based rear cameras a 7-megapixel front-facing shooter. iPhone XS and XS Max have dual 12-megapixel modules while the iPhone XR has a single 12-megapixel module. All the three phones support the newly launched Apple Smart HDR photo-detecting and fixing feature.
Connectivity
All the three iPhones will come with the standard set of connectivity features supporting all the latest LTE Giga speeds. The latest addition to the connectivity corner is the support for two SIMs. All the three new iPhones will support dual SIMs with a dual standby mode.
Storage & Colour Variants
The iPhone XS and XS Max will come in a new 512GB storage variant. Both iPhone XS and XS Max will be available in versions of 64GB, 256GB and 512GB while the iPhone XR in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB. iPhone XR will be available in blue, coral, yellow, white, black, project red colour options while the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max will be available in gold, silver and space gray.
Battery
Apple hasn’t revealed the battery capacities yet, but it did say that iPhone XR will run 90 minutes longer than the iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone XS will run 30 minutes longer than the iPhone X and iPhone XS Max will run 90 minutes longer than the iPhone X.
Availability
The iPhone XR can be preordered from October 19 and the shipping starts October 26. Lastly, the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max can be pre-ordered from September 14 and shipping starts on September 21.
