Xiaomi recently launched a brand new AI supported 4G feature phone, a first-time for the Chinese company. Called Qin AI, the Xiaomi 4G feature phone is as smart as any other smartphone available in the market.
The Xiaomi feature phone comes with some path-breaking features like AI, VoLTE and real-time translations of up to 17 languages. Though, the Xiaomi feature phone misses out on features like cameras, both on front and back.
If Xiaomi plans to bring the Qin AI feature phone to India, it will directly challenge the best-selling JioPhone in the country.

Xiaomi Qin AI vs JioPhone 2 vs JioPhone
Reliance Jio recently announced its JioPhone successor JioPhone 2. Here’s a full comparison between the three 4G smart feature phones.
Design
The Xiaomi Qin AI has a sturdy built which has a 8.5mm thickness with a standard T9 keypad like JioPhone. While, JioPhone 2 comes with a new Blackberry-styled QWERTY keypad.

The Xiaomi Qin AI comes with a 2.8 inch display on top. On the other hand, both JioPhone and JioPhone 2 comes with a 2.4 inch QVGA display TFT display in an vertical and horizontal position respectively.

The JioPhone comes at an effective price of zero, and the upcoming JioPhone 2 is now available at an exchange price of just Rs 501. The JioPhone is priced originally at Rs 1,500 and JioPhone 2 is priced at Rs 2,999.
The Qin AI has been launched at a starting price of Yuan 999 in China, which translates to around INR 1,999.

Verdict: So, Who’s The Best?
Both JioPhone 2 and JioPhone are clear winners in terms of general usability. Though, the real-time translation feature on Xiaomi Qin AI a first-time on a Xiaomi feature phone and something to look out for.
If Indian market is taken into consideration, the Xiaomi Qin AI may not be a feasible alternative to any of the JioPhones. The voice translation feature may be a USP for the Xiaomi feature phone, but it will probably not work in India.
Now, if we had to pick one between JioPhone and JioPhone 2, the new JioPhone 2 has nothing more to offer other than dual SIM support, a horizontal screen and QWERTY keypad.
If you a hardcore content consumer or want to try out a new design and need two SIMs, the JioPhone 2 would be a better option for you, orelse, the old JioPhone remains our pick for all seasons.
