Airtel Accuses Jio Of Making False Claims
Airtel has moved to the fast-track complaints panel to complain against Reliance Jio. Bharti Airtel has alleged that Reliance Jio is making false claims via its latest ad starring actor Deepika Padukone. The latest advertisement falsely claims that Reliance Jio is best network in the world, and also the largest mobile data network on the planet.
Airtel has also challenged against the claims of Reliance Jio offering the “best entertainment” and “best postpaid offers” in the country. According to Airtel, the ads come with no clarification or any backing from any independent third-party data. Also, the claims in the ads are made without any evidence, which directly violates the ASCI guidelines.
Last year in March, Reliance Jio moved to the court against Bharti Airtel for airing ads with false claims on network data speed. After an investigation, Airtel was forced to withdraw all its advertisements.
