The all-new ‘Zero Touch’ postpaid plan from Jio is priced at Rs 199 and will be available starting May 15.
After disrupting the prepaid segment, Jio is now all set to dominate the postpaid space in the telecom industry. The new postpaid plan launched offers a list of premium benefits which some of the top-rated postpaid plans available in the market misses out on.
The all-new ‘Zero Touch’ postpaid plan from Jio is priced at Rs 199 and will be available starting May 15. Besides its usual offerings of unlimited voice calls and huge data benefits, the new ‘Zero Touch’ postpaid plan will be offering ultra-cheap ISD calling and international roaming.

Jio’s Rs 199 Zero Touch Postpaid Plan
The Jio ‘Zero Touch’ postpaid plan is priced at Rs 199 per billing cycle. The plan offers 25GB high-speed 4G data with unlimited voice calling (local and STD) and free 100 SMS per day. The postpaid plan will also come with free access to premium Jio apps.
But apart from these, the best part is that the Jio ‘Zero Touch’ postpaid plan comes with a pre-activated ISD calling options which allows you to make international calls and activate one-click international roaming without any extra hassle or security deposit.
Zero Touch Plan – ISD Calling Charges
The international call rates are very cheap compared to other plans available in the market. Calls made to USA and Canada are priced at just 50 paise per minute whereas calls made to Bangladesh, China, France, Italy, New Zealand, UK and Singapore will cost at Rs 2 per minute.
Calls to countries like Germany, Australia, UAE and others will cost you between Rs 3 to Rs 6 per minute on Jio’s new ‘Zero Touch’ postpaid plan.
International Roaming With The Zero Touch Plan
Coming to international roaming, in countries like USA, UK, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Japan and France, Jio ‘Zero Touch’ postpaid plan users will be charged at Rs 2 per minute for any calls made from these countries, Rs 2 per MB will be charged for data usage and Rs 2 for each SMS sent.
In countries like Egypt, Kenya, Kuwait, Poland, Brazil China and Australia, users will be charged Rs 10 per minute for any calls made from these countries. Data usage will be charged at Rs 10 per MB and Rs 10 per SMS sent.
International roaming will come pre-activated with the plan, and these charges are without international roaming add-on.
Jio’s International Roaming Plans
There are in total three international subscription plans available now with unlimited calls, SMS and data –
Jio Rs 575 International Plan
The first Jio international plan is priced at Rs 575 which comes with a single day’s validity. The plan offers unlimited calls, free SMS and 250MB high-speed 4G data. Post FUP usage, unlimited data can be used at the speed of 64Kbps.
Jio Rs 2,875 International Plan
The first Jio international plan is priced at Rs 2,875 which comes with a 7-day validity. The plan offers unlimited calls, free SMS and 250MB high-speed 4G data per day. Post FUP usage, unlimited data can be used at the speed of 64Kbps.
Jio Rs 5,751 International Plan
The first Jio international plan is priced at Rs 5,751 which comes with 30 days validity. The plan offers unlimited calls, free SMS and 5GB high-speed 4G data. Post FUP usage, unlimited data can be used at the speed of 64Kbps.
Postpaid Plans With ISD Calling – Airtel, Vodafone & Idea
When compared to Jio’s Rs 199 plan, Airtel and Vodafone have postpaid plans starting at Rs 399. The Rs 399 postpaid plan from Airtel and Vodafone offers 20GB high speed 3G/4G data per month with unlimited local and national calls and free 100 SMS per day.
Idea Telecom has a starting plan priced at Rs 389 which offers 20GB high speed 3G/4G data, free unlimited local and STD calls and free 100 SMS per day.
But, none of the plans from Airtel, Vodafone or Idea come with a pre-activated ISD calling plan. You either need to subscribe separately or deposit a security amount to activate ISD on your number. All the incumbents charge Rs 149 per month as International Roaming (IR) activation charges. Also, the roaming call charges are quite high compared to what Jio is offering.
