Jio Phone Rs 49 Plan Is Superhit

In January this year, Reliance Jio had launched their cheapest paid plan till date: Rs 49, which was only meant for buyers of their Jio Phone.

However, after two months, it is clear that this new low-cost plan has proved to be an elixir for them because sales are still jumping and Jio Phones are selling like hot cakes.

As a result, Jio has now confirmed a massive rural push for their phones, which can introduce a new wave of 4G and Internet users.

Credit Suisse: Jio Phone Rs 49 Plan A Big Hit

As per internal reports of financial services company Credit Suisse, Reliance Jio’s Rs 49 plan launched on Republic Day for Jio Phone users has proved to be a massive hit.

Unsold inventory was all sold out, as demand is still high, even after 2 months of their Rs 49 offer plan.

As per Credit Suisse, new users of Jio Phone are opting to activate a new number via a new SIM, rather than porting out from their existing telco provider, which means that overall, a massive number of new users are adding up.

This means that lack of availability of apps such as Whatsapp and Facebook hasn’t deterred people from opting for Jio Phone.WhatsApp is coming soon to Jio Phone, and this may further push their sales.

Facebook has already been introduced in their phones.

We had earlier reported that Jio Phone has beaten Samsung to become India’s largest selling feature phone.

“We have already started assembling in Chennai; the capacity is enough to meet current requirement. The Tirupati plant, once the land is allotted, should come up in 12 months. The first batch of Jio Phones from this (Tirupati) plant should be out within 12-18 months,”

The company wants 7000 Jio Points, all over India, with the majority being in rural areas.

Jio’s aim is to revolutionize the telecom market, which has a market size of 500 million users.
