The Nokia 6 (2018) has leaked on Chinese social media site, Weibo, ahead of its imminent launch. The new Nokia 6 is a revised version of the original with a better processor, a new design and more. The device is scheduled to launch in China on 5th January and HMD Global is expected to announce the device globally at the 2018 MWC event.

Nokia 6 was launched a year ago. It was the first Android smartphone from the new Nokia. Now a year later, it has received an upgrade in design and specifications. Let us take a closer look at the new specifications and features.
Design & Build
The new Nokia 6 will come with narrower top and bottom bezels as compared to the original Nokia 6. It features a metal build. The fingerprint scanner has now moved to the rear side and there are no hardware navigation keys, replaced by on-screen navigation keys.
Display
The smartphone will come with the same 5.5 inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixel with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top and 16:9 screen aspect ratio display.
Hardware
The new Nokia 6 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chipset, paired with Adreno 508 GPU and 4GB of RAM.
Storage
The smartphone will have 2 storage options, 32GB and 64GB. The inbuilt storage can further be expanded up to 128GB.
Software
The Nokia 6 (2018) will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box like the original Nokia 6, but Nokia has promised an update to Android 8.0 Oreo very soon.
Camera
The new Nokia 6 will feature the same camera setup of a 16MP rear camera unit. Up front, the smartphone has an 8MP selfie shooter.
Connectivity
The device will support all the 4G LTE band with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS with other required sensors. Another major addition is the USB Type-C port which replaces the micro-USB port on original Nokia 6.

The Nokia 6 (2018) will pack in the same 3000mAh battery, but will now support fast charging. Nokia promises a charge rate from 0 to 50% in just 30 minutes.
Price & Availability
Nokia 6 (2018) will cost 1499 Yuan (around Rs. 14,700) for the 4GB + 32GB model, while the 4GB + 64GB model will cost 1699 Yuan (around Rs. 16,600). The smartphone will start selling in China from January 10.
Better Than Original?
The new model is an iterative upgrade over the previous version with a new design and fast charging. But sensible pricing makes this new variant a better smartphone altogether.
To sum it up, the new Nokia 6 (2018) is a slight upgrade over the original one. A global launch, including India, is expected in a couple of months.
