Samsung Galaxy J7 Nxt 32GB – Specifications & Features
Samsung Galaxy J7 Nxt was launched in India back in July this year. The newer variant will come with an updated storage and some added features.
Design & Build
There’s no getting around the fact that the J7 Nxt looks dated. It literally looks like any other Samsung smartphone available in this price range. It will be hard to name the model by just looking at it! The phone is made out of plastic with a metallic chassis around the edges. The build quality is above average with rounded corners and curves on the edges. There is no fingerprint scanner.
Display
The smartphone will feature a 5.5 inch Super AMOLED HD display with a resolution of 1280 × 720 pixels. Inspite of being a HD display, the Super AMOLED display is bright and vibrant.
Hardware & Software
Samsung Galaxy J7 Nxt is powered by a 1.6GHz octa core Exynos 7870 chipset coupled with 3GB of RAM. The device runs Android Nougat out of the box with Samsung’s new UI on top, the same one seen on its flagships S8 and S8 Plus. The previously leaked list of Samsung devices which are expected to get the Android 8.0 Oreo update has no mention of the Galaxy J7 Nxt.
Storage
The device will come with a higher storage capacity of 32GB with higher, 3GB of RAM than its predecessor. The onboard storage can be further expanded up to 356GB with an external memory card.
Camera
In terms of the imaging capabilities, the new Galaxy J7 Nxt will sport the same 13MP rear shooter with an aperture of f/1.9 and an LED flash. Up front, there is a 5MP selfie-shooter with an f/2.2 aperture and a dedicated LED front flash.
Connectivity
The smartphone will support two SIMs with 4G VoLTE connectivity. It has all the requisite sensors on board. Samsung has also added Samsung Pay Mini support, which will now allow users to pay with their phone directly via codes, UPI and mobile wallets.
Battery
This smartphone will get powered by the same 3000mAh battery, which can easily run for a day without any hassle with a screen on time of around 3 to 3.5 hours.
Price, Variants & Availability
The 32GB version will be available at a price of Rs. 12,990/- while the 16GB version is now available at Rs. 10,490/-. Both the versions will be available in Black and Gold color variants. The 16GB model is available via online channels and offline retail stores in the country. The 32GB model is only available offline for now, but will soon be available online as well.
Preliminary Verdict
To sum it up, the smartphone doesn’t impress much with its average specifications, poor camera performance and outdated design. It will be tough for Galaxy J7 Nxt to find a market where lower-priced smartphones have better specifications and more features. At Rs. 12,990/-, the phone will face fierce competition from Honor 7X, Xiaomi Mi A1 and Redmi Note 4.
Specs are good, but chipset is not enough powerful, Design looks as same like old models
If we don’t consider a Branding name importance, There are many other phones with better specs @ 50% less price than Samsung devices
