Reliance Jio Starts Doorstep Home Delivery; Will Offer up to 9 Sim Cards With eKYC!
Since the commercial launch of Reliance Jio on September 5, the number of customers has been growing daily and the company’s aim is for everyone to experience Jio services atleast one.
For the same reason, Jio had started home delivery of sim cards earlier this month through a very quick process. Provided Jio is offering its services for free till 31st December, customers are interested and eager to use the 4G LTE based network.
Starting today, 17th November, Reliance Jio is launching a campaign to provide home delivery of sim cards directly with eKYC. A person can get upto 9 sims according to the TRAI limit, which makes it easier for one to access Jio services.
Reliance Jio has been falling short of its target of 100 million customers in 3 months, and even though the growth has been purely organic, the company wants to activate as many sim cards as possible till the end of December. Higher the number of customers right now will lead to higher number of customers finally converting before the welcome offer ends.
What is required for this offer?
All you have to do is fill a form on the website and request a personnel to come to your home for delivering the sim cards. Keep your photo ID proof and your Jio Welcome Offer code ready and you’re good to go. Aadhar card is a must and all the Jio expert will do is take your Aadhar number for verification.
The personnel will verify everything through eKYC and give you the number of sim cards you require. Of course it is limited to 9, so this means you can easily get one for the whole family. You can also choose the time of the day the Jio personnel should visit you, providing you more flexibility in your schedule.
The campaign is expected to be rolled out in larger cities like Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore, and the subsequently to other metros and towns soon. Jio’s largest base is actually in and around the cities, where the infrastructure for 4G LTE is decently developed.
With the demonetization of bank notes, at least you do not have to stand in front of Reliance stores for sim cards anymore. Reliance is making sure you get them at your doorstep at your convenience and enjoy the super fast internet speeds.
Slower speeds and call drops have been plaguing the network service for a long time now, and users have been experiencing irregular internet speeds. Connectivity is still something Jio could work on before it expands its customer base. A higher conversion rate could compensate for higher customer base if the services offered are top notch.
