It is good to see Reliance using the better Snapdragon processors for its smartphones, along with a sizeable amount of RAM enough for a good smartphone. Both the cameras come with built-in flash which is a huge plus for selfie lovers.
How does the handset stand out?
Looking at the specifications above, you might have thought to yourself, even the Moto G4 Plus comes with these specifications at a much lower price. Let’s go ahead and apprise you of the security features the smartphone comes with.
The smartphone comes with a 2.5D curved display that offers 178 degrees viewing angle. The screen to body ratio is high at 72% which is quite good.
Coming to smart security, the phone houses a fingerprint sensor which can be doubled up to launch applications directly without unlocking the smartphone first. Different fingers can be scanned to launch three different applications.
The smartphone also comes with a retina scan, something very fresh and new in the market. Your retina can be used to unlock the smartphone by scanning it from the front camera. Thanks to the flash, even in the night scanning your eye would not pose a risk. For all we know, the retina sensor isn’t very well developed, but at least Reliance is adding another layer of security.
Not to discount the fact that retina sensor is easier to bypass with a photo of yours, but when you’re in good company you need not worry. The smartphone seems to be priced a little higher, but with the benefits of a Jio 4G connection, the overall price seems reasonable.
We are trying to get our hands on the device, and you can expect a full review once we have it!
