Live Streaming sports event is now becoming a norm. Live broadcast of cricket series like IPL and Football World Cup has shown that there is a huge audience that consume content on the web.
iStream.com, India based online video service has acquired exclusive rights to stream India Sri Lanka Cricket matches starting from July 21st 2012. There will be total of 5 One Day International and 1 Twenty20 match that will be played in Sri Lanka.
iStream.com has actually partnered with Sporty Solutionz, who were awarded the exclusive Internet and mobile rights for this series from Ten Sports. All 6 day-night matches (starting at 2:30 pm) will be streamed live on iStream.com, and will also be available on demand for a month after the tournament.
For India Srilanka matches, apart from live streaming, viewers can catch special programming around the event, including pre and post-match highlights, team statistics, player profiles, trivia and other related clips. iStream will also allow Facebook users to live-chat on the site while the matches are played and “like” or “tweet” any clip or statistics.
iStream.com had previously bagged UEFA Euro 2012 live streaming right for which they had received tremendous response for Indian online viewers.
