Interestingly, Sequoia Capital India tops the charts for all three of them, so it could be safely said that they are the top Venture Capitalists in India. They have made more than double the investments in companies and raised more than 5 times of the funds as compared to 2nd ranked VC !

Your blog seems to be an interesting one with good data.
There seems to be another interesting blog on investment opportunity in education.
I think there may be investors and educationists who would like to explore education sector in India and Indian states.

This BLOG does not have a proposal but a scenario where a lot can be explored.
Intel still need work hard to chase up
hi,
we are already in the power sector. Manufacturers of power cables and bus ducts for power plants, just curious that could a company like our interest some venture capitalist and if yes then how should we go ahead with it. thanks for you interest
Very interesting report. Would definitely like to read the full report. E-mail id: [email protected]
i am having a nice website idea,, do they invest if i contact them ??
Ashok,
What makes your ‘nice website idea’ unique is what VCs will look for other than the business potential.
You shall first try to reach Angel investors before going to VCs.
http://www.indigloo.com
Our online website builder combines the power of drupal and joomla with browser based website creation. It helps you to create a complex website of unlimited pages. Its good for people who want to earn money from google adsense as basic website is free and we dont ask for sharing of adsense income.
You can find latest investment plans on http://mf.appuonline.com, an Indian finance portal. This makes easy to navigate and search for relevant fund information in India.
It would be nice if the source above also explicitly mentioned Outlook Business where it is taken from and is linked to.
I just did it…Please have a look…
Hi Arun, The tables and data that you have used in this post are a straight lift from Outlook Business. I notice that you attribute to ‘source’ at the end of the post, but at no place is the information directly attributed to Outlook Business. That would be copyright violation. Please do rectify.
I am not sure what you mean Snigdha, the source is a direct link to the post that you have written. Also, from the whole post, I have taken the table and no text has been copied or picked up. Anyways, what I can do is to replace “source” with outlook business. I hope that is what you mean.
If you see any of the posts, that is the normal rule that we follow…
Not surprising. I guess other than Nexus and Inventus(?), most are PE firms (at least when it comes to their Indian investments).
Thanks for dropping by Amit, you are spot on with that observation. Infact, apart from Sequoia, very few VCs have big presence in the valley.
Great Report.
Interesting to note how one of the top VCs from the valley – KPCB is fairly down in the list here. India not a focus for them?
