Muthoot FinCorp Becomes BCCI Title Sponsor Of Indian Cricket Until 2028
Muthoot FinCorp has been named the new title sponsor for India’s home cricket, securing the rights until March 2028 in a major commercial partnership with the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
The partnership covers international and domestic cricket played in India and will begin with India’s upcoming ODI series against the West Indies in Thiruvananthapuram.
Muthoot FinCorp Gets Rights Till March 2028
The agreement will run until March 31, 2028, covering India’s home international matches as well as domestic tournaments organised by the BCCI.
The deal is expected to cover around 35 home internationals during the two-year period, including 10 Tests, 12 ODIs and 13 T20Is.
Muthoot FinCorp replaces IDFC First Bank, whose previous title sponsorship agreement ended in August 2026.
Deal Reportedly Worth Up To Rs 150 Crore
The financial terms have not been fully disclosed by the BCCI.
However, reports indicate that the agreement is worth up to around Rs 150 crore, with the per-match payment reported at approximately Rs 4.3 crore.
The BCCI had reportedly set a base price of Rs 4.85 crore per match while initially seeking a new sponsor.
The final deal was reached after the board’s initial tender process failed to attract a suitable bidder at its expected valuation.
Partnership Begins With West Indies Series
Muthoot FinCorp’s branding will first appear during India’s three-match ODI series against the West Indies.
The opening match is scheduled to be played in Thiruvananthapuram on September 27.
The Kerala-based company’s association with Indian cricket will therefore begin in its home state, giving the partnership an immediate regional connection.
Domestic Cricket Also Included
The sponsorship extends beyond India’s senior men’s team.
It covers the senior women’s team, India A, age-group teams and other designated teams, along with several major domestic competitions.
These include the Ranji Trophy, Irani Cup, Duleep Trophy, Vijay Hazare Trophy, Deodhar Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
This gives Muthoot FinCorp visibility across both international cricket and India’s domestic cricket ecosystem.
