Realme GT5 Pro Makes its Debut in China

It is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, coupled with 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and offers storage options of 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. To manage heat, the GT5 Pro incorporates a 12,000mm2 vapor chamber.

With a visually appealing vegan leather back available in Red Rock and Bright Moon colors, as well as a textured glass-finished Starry Night option, the Realme GT5 Pro boasts a 6.78-inch 2780x1264px AMOLED display. This display features a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz, a touch sampling rate of 2,160Hz, and an impressive maximum brightness of 4,500 nits. The panel can reach up to 1,000 nits under manual control and 1,600 nits with auto brightness. Additionally, it includes an embedded fingerprint scanner.

Similar to the OnePlus 12, the Realme GT5 Pro houses a substantial 5,400mAh battery with support for 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.

Camera, Gesture Controls, and Prices

The main camera of the GT5 Pro mirrors that of the OnePlus 12, utilizing a 50 MP LYT-808 1/1.4-inch sensor and 23mm f/1.69 lens. However, the other two cameras on the back differ, featuring a larger 50 MP IMX890 1/1.56-inch sensor with a 65mm f/2.6 lens for the periscope zoom camera and an 8MP f/2.2 fixed-focus ultrawide camera with a 1/4.0-inch sensor.

Introducing gesture controls, reminiscent of the Galaxy S5’s Air Gestures, the Realme GT5 Pro includes a palm unlock gesture, claimed to be as secure as face unlock, though not as secure as a biometric option.

Other notable features include Dolby Atmos-tuned stereo speakers, a sophisticated linear vibration motor for enhanced haptics, and an IP64 rating for full dust protection and resistance against splashes of water.

Pre-orders for the Realme GT5 Pro begin today, and shipments are scheduled to start on December 14. As a promotional offer, Realme is bundling a pair of Realme Buds Classic Edition 2 and providing CNY 100 ($15, €13, INR 1,200) in credit for other purchases from its online store in China. With the discount applied, pricing for different configurations is as follows: CNY 3,298 (€430, INR 38,680) for the 12/256GB model, CNY 3,598 (€470, INR 42,260) for the 16/256GB model, CNY 3,898 (€510, INR 45,700) for the 16/512GB model, and CNY 4,198 (€550, INR 49,245) for the top-shelf 16GB/1TB model.
