The Poco X5 is coming to India one month after the launch of its sibling Poco X5 Pro.
The 5G smartphone comes in two memory variants and three color options – Supernova Green, Wildcat Blue, and Jaguar Black.
It saw its global launch in early February with a Snapdragon 695 chipset and a triple camera on the back – 48MP main, 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro.
Pricing
The Poco X5 5G has been launched in two variants in India including — 6GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB at price of Rs 18,999 and Rs 20,999, respectively.
The company announced special first-day prices – Rs 16,999 ($205/€193) for the 6/128 GB version and Rs 18,999 ($230/€215) for the 8/256 GB option.
The Poco X5 will be available on Flipkart on March 21 at 12PM IST.
Discount offers
Poco and Flipkart are offering Rs 2,000 discount for consumers using ICICI bank cards.
Additionally, the company is offering an exchange discount of Rs 2000.
Processor, storage
The vanilla Poco X5 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 695 SoC paired with the Adreno 619 GPU.
The smartphone also supports the Turbo RAM feature which provides an additional 5GB of RAM to users.
It also comes with up to 256GB of storage that is expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card.
Screen, display
It sports a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1,200 nits and DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage.
The display comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass layer along with SGS Care and Seamless Pro Display certifications.
The screen boasts a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate.
OS
The phone runs MIUI 13 based on Android 12 out of the box and includes 5G band support, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm audio jack, MIUI Dialer, and more.
Battery, charging
The device packs a 5,000 mAh battery and comes with an in-box 33W fast charger.
The company claims that the 33W fast charger can juice up the phone fully in just 22 minutes.
Camera
The Poco X5 has a 48 MP primary sensor, an 8 MP ultrawide unit, and a 2 MP macro camera in a triple camera island setup.
On the front, there’s a 13 MP selfie camera which the company claims offers “great clarity and detailing”.
The camera comes with soft features like HDR, AI scene detection, night mode, portrait mode, and more.
Other specs
The phone features a side-mounted fingerprint reader and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The handset supports NFC and boasts an IP53 splash-resistant rating.
