Maruti Suzuki India recorded its highest-ever monthly sales in October 2026, dispatching 2,76,120 vehicles across domestic and export markets. The total was 25 per cent higher than the 2,20,894 units dispatched in October 2025, as festive-season demand lifted sales across key vehicle categories. The company’s previous monthly record was 2.43 lakh units, set in May 2026.

Domestic Sales Reach a New High
Domestic sales, including passenger vehicles and light commercial vehicles, reached 2,16,789 units, the company’s highest monthly domestic volume. Total domestic dispatches, including sales to other automakers, rose to 2,26,248 units.
Passenger vehicle dispatches in India increased by around 20.5 per cent year-on-year to 2,12,384 units. Utility vehicles were a major contributor, with sales rising 26 per cent to 97,787 units. The category includes models such as the Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx and Grand Vitara.
Sales of mini, compact and mid-size passenger cars increased 18.4 per cent to 1,00,877 units. Van sales, led by the Eeco, edged up to 13,720 units, while Super Carry light commercial vehicle sales reached 4,405 units.
Exports Surge Nearly 60 Per Cent
Exports climbed 59.3 per cent to 49,872 units in October, compared with 31,304 units a year earlier. Sales to other original equipment manufacturers also increased, reaching 9,459 units against 8,915 units in October 2025.
The strong performance came despite a high base in the year-ago period. The company had also reported low dealership inventory levels and a substantial number of pending bookings, indicating continued demand for its vehicles.
Festive Demand Lifts the Market
The October results point to a strong festive-season month for India’s largest passenger vehicle manufacturer. Growth in utility vehicles, passenger cars and exports helped the company set a new monthly sales record.
The figures are dispatches from the manufacturer, rather than a count of vehicles newly registered by customers. Still, the record domestic volume and sharp rise in exports show that demand extended beyond the festival-driven retail market.
With October setting a new benchmark, Maruti Suzuki’s performance will be closely watched in the coming months to see whether the sales momentum continues after the peak festive period.
