Mahindra XUV 3XO ZNG Price and Variants
The new CNG SUV is available in four variants, with prices ranging from Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 12.27 lakh.
- MX Edge: Rs 9.99 lakh
- RevX Edge (O): Rs 10.79 lakh
- AX5: Rs 11.19 lakh
- RevX A: Rs 12.27 lakh
All prices are ex-showroom. Bookings and deliveries are scheduled to begin on October 20, 2026, while test drives have commenced.
Turbocharged CNG Engine Delivers 200 Nm Torque
The XUV 3XO ZNG uses a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol-CNG engine producing 111 PS of power and 200 Nm of torque. It is paired with a six-speed manual gearbox.
Mahindra claims a fuel efficiency of 24.7 km/kg. The company also claims that the SUV can accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in 4.9 seconds and from 0 to 100 kmph in 11.8 seconds while running on CNG.
The engine delivers the same claimed power and torque figures in petrol and CNG modes. The system can also switch to petrol when the CNG supply runs low.
Twin-Cylinder Setup Preserves Boot Space
One of the key highlights is the underfloor twin-cylinder CNG arrangement. Instead of placing a conventional CNG cylinder in the luggage compartment, this configuration helps maintain a flat loading floor.
The SUV offers 270 litres of usable boot space. While the design improves luggage accessibility, the capacity may still be limited for buyers who regularly carry large suitcases or travel with substantial luggage.
Features and Safety Equipment
Depending on the variant, the XUV 3XO ZNG offers features such as a panoramic sunroof, a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, wireless phone charging and dual-zone climate control.
The entry-level variant also receives equipment including a touchscreen, cruise control, rear air-conditioning vents and a 60:40 split rear seat.
Safety features include six airbags, electronic stability control and ISOFIX child-seat mounts across the range. Other equipment includes a tyre pressure monitoring system, rear parking sensors and a reverse parking camera, depending on the variant.
The regular XUV 3XO has received a five-star Bharat NCAP rating for adult and child occupant protection.
Competition in India’s CNG SUV Market
The XUV 3XO ZNG will compete with factory-fitted CNG offerings such as the Tata Nexon and Maruti Suzuki Brezza. It also enters a wider compact SUV market that includes models such as the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet and Nissan Magnite, although not all these rivals offer CNG powertrains.
Its turbocharged engine could appeal to buyers who want more performance than conventional CNG vehicles typically provide. However, the absence of an automatic transmission may put off some urban buyers.
Summary
Mahindra has launched the XUV 3XO ZNG at Rs 9.99 lakh, with four variants priced up to Rs 12.27 lakh. Its 1.2-litre turbocharged CNG engine produces 111 PS and 200 Nm, with a claimed efficiency of 24.7 km/kg. A twin-cylinder layout preserves 270 litres of boot space, while six airbags and electronic stability control are standard across the range.
