WFH Returns Across Delhi-NCR and Border Regions

Infosys, HCLTech, Deloitte, KPMG, EY, and Tech Mahindra are among the firms urging employees in high-alert regions like Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Chandigarh, Jaipur, and Ahmedabad to work from home. Employees stationed in border states have also been advised to relocate to safer base locations as a precautionary measure.

Infosys and HCLTech Take Immediate Action

Infosys is allowing employees to work from home up to 10 days per month or three days a week. The company has reportedly asked for office lights to be switched off post 7 PM to enhance security.

HCLTech declared May 9 as a work-from-home day across its Noida, Gurugram, and Chandigarh offices and has activated command centers nationwide to provide real-time support to employees.

Consulting Giants Follow Suit

Deloitte and EY have issued similar remote work advisories, instructing staff in sensitive areas to stay home. Deloitte has suspended all non-essential travel and set up a national command center. EY has advised employees in Delhi-NCR and nearby cities to work remotely on May 9 and will share further updates over the weekend.

Tech Mahindra and KPMG Take Cautious Steps

Tech Mahindra has advised employees to defer all non-essential travel and follow updates from its corporate services team, though it has not explicitly mandated remote work. Meanwhile, KPMG has allowed its staff in high-alert zones to work from home or consult with business heads for alternate arrangements.

A United Response to a Growing Crisis

With employee safety as a top priority, India’s tech and consulting firms are adapting quickly to the geopolitical situation. As developments continue to unfold, companies are balancing operational continuity with proactive safety measures, reinforcing the resilience of the IT sector during uncertain times.
