Hyundai is gearing up for a major expansion in India’s SUV market over the next three years. A range of new models across different segments is expected, including next-generation updates, facelifts, brand-new nameplates, and electrified vehicles.

Hyundai’s Upcoming SUV Launches: Creta, Venue, Tucson, and New EVs

Leading the charge will be the next-generation Hyundai Creta, scheduled for 2027. It will sport a fully redesigned exterior, a revamped tech-rich interior, and a new hybrid powertrain to boost fuel efficiency. Meanwhile, the new Hyundai Venue facelift is lined up for a late-2025 launch. Although its engine options are likely to stay the same, the Venue will receive significant exterior design updates and a richer set of premium features inside.

The Hyundai Tucson facelift, already available in global markets, is also headed to India by late 2025 or early 2026. It brings a fresh look with a new grille, reworked skid plates, sharper lighting, and an overhauled dashboard featuring a sleek, curved display. Hyundai’s push into the EV space will continue with a new compact electric SUV, inspired by the global Inster EV, expected around 2026. It will rival the Tata Punch EV in the affordable electric SUV segment. Additionally, Hyundai is planning a new seven-seater hybrid SUV, positioned between the Alcazar and Tucson, which will be manufactured at the Talegaon facility.

Hyundai’s Future Plans: Bayon-Based SUV and Flagship Ioniq 9 EV

Hyundai’s strategy also includes developing a new compact SUV based on the Bayon, placed between the Venue and Creta. While its launch isn’t confirmed yet, it is expected to offer unique styling and fresh appeal. Another exciting addition will be the flagship electric SUV, the Hyundai Ioniq 9, which recently debuted at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Built on the advanced E-GMP platform, the Ioniq 9 will be imported into India and will sit at the top of Hyundai’s EV lineup.

Overall, Hyundai’s aggressive SUV roadmap highlights its commitment to the Indian market, with a mix of conventional, hybrid, and electric offerings designed to cater to a wide spectrum of buyers. The next few years are set to be transformative for Hyundai’s presence in India’s highly competitive SUV landscape.

Summary:

Hyundai is set to expand its SUV lineup in India with next-gen models like the Creta, Venue facelift, and Tucson facelift, alongside new EVs including an Inster-inspired compact SUV and the flagship Ioniq 9. A Bayon-based SUV and a new seven-seater hybrid also highlight Hyundai’s aggressive future roadmap.
