BSNL Launches New Fibre Freedom Plan

BSNL has launched a new Fibre Freedom broadband plan priced at ₹1,111 per month, offering customers high-speed internet along with a large bundle of entertainment services.

The plan has been introduced as part of BSNL’s Independence Day initiatives and is aimed at customers looking for both fast broadband connectivity and OTT entertainment under a single subscription.

200 Mbps Speed And 5,000GB Data

The biggest attraction of the new plan is its 200 Mbps internet speed.

Subscribers get up to 5,000GB of data every month, giving heavy internet users plenty of room for streaming, gaming, downloads, video calls and other bandwidth-intensive activities.

After the applicable high-speed data limit is reached, the connection may operate at a lower speed as per the plan’s terms.

25+ OTT Platforms Included

BSNL is also bundling access to more than 25 premium OTT platforms with the Fibre Freedom plan.

The company has not yet disclosed the complete list of OTT services included in the package.

The bundled entertainment benefits could make the plan particularly attractive to households that already spend separately on multiple streaming subscriptions.

₹1,111 Is A Special Launch Price

The ₹1,111 monthly price is being offered as a special launch price.

BSNL has not specified how long the introductory pricing will remain available.

Customers considering the plan may therefore want to check the applicable price and terms at the time of taking the connection.

BSNL Also Offers Free Live TV

Alongside the Fibre Freedom broadband plan, BSNL has introduced a free entertainment television service for its mobile subscribers.

Through the revamped BSNL Selfcare app, mobile users can access around 500 live TV channels along with on-demand entertainment content.

The service is powered by Tango TV.

New BSNL Selfcare App

BSNL has also revamped its Selfcare application as part of its broader digital push.

The new app allows customers to handle services such as prepaid recharges, bill payments, complaint registration and tracking, fibre booking and multiple-account management.

It also includes an AI chatbot and voice search, giving customers additional ways to manage their BSNL services.

26,300 More 4G Sites Planned

The Fibre Freedom launch comes alongside a major expansion of BSNL’s mobile network.

The company has ordered more than 26,300 additional 4G Base Transceiver Station sites for deployment across India.

BSNL says the expansion will improve connectivity in towns, villages and remote areas.

The company has also been optimising its existing 4G network to improve coverage, data speeds and call quality.

BSNL’s Bigger Connectivity Push

The new broadband plan is part of a wider attempt by BSNL to strengthen its position in India’s highly competitive telecom market.

The operator is simultaneously expanding its 4G network, upgrading its digital customer services and adding entertainment benefits to its broadband and mobile offerings.

For broadband users, the ₹1,111 plan stands out because it combines 200 Mbps connectivity, 5,000GB data and 25+ OTT platforms in one package.

Can BSNL Challenge Private Broadband Players?

BSNL’s biggest advantage with the new plan is the combination of speed and entertainment benefits at a relatively competitive price.

However, the success of the offer will ultimately depend on the quality and availability of BSNL’s fibre network in individual locations.

If the company can deliver consistent 200 Mbps speeds along with reliable customer service, the Fibre Freedom plan could become an attractive option for heavy broadband users.

Summary

BSNL has launched its new Fibre Freedom broadband plan at a special price of ₹1,111 per month. The plan offers speeds of up to 200 Mbps, 5,000GB monthly data and access to more than 25 premium OTT platforms. BSNL has also introduced a revamped Selfcare app and free access to around 500 live TV channels for mobile subscribers. The launch comes alongside plans to deploy more than 26,300 additional 4G sites across India.
