Over 700 Indian students’ admission offer letters’ were issued deportation notices by the Canadian Border Security Agency (CBSA) as the admission offer letters were found to be fake.

Visa Documents Of 700 Indian Students In Canada Found To Be Fake: They Had Each Paid Upto Rs 20 Lakh

After clearing the 12th examination, as many as 700 students applied for study visa through Education Migration Services, Jalandhar headed by one Brijesh Mishra in a period of 2018 to 2022.

Each student was charged Rs 16 to Rs 20 lakh for all the expenses including the admission fees to a premier institute Humber college.

This payment did not include air tickets and security deposits.

Indian Students Duped by Jalandhar Based Education Migration Services

As per Batth, when he and other students landed in Toronto and were heading to Humber college, they received a phone call by Mishra that the course is full now and that would have to wait till the start of the next semester after 6 months or else they could get admission to some other college and safe time.

However, he returned their Humber college fee which further made students believe his genuineness.

After gaining their trust, Mishra advised them to take admission to available 2-year diploma courses into another, less known college.

The students obliged and the classes commenced. Post the completion of the course the student got the work permits. Upon becoming eligible to get the PR in Canada, the students submitted relevant documents to the immigration department.

This is where everything started to fall apart. This is when the CBSA started to scrutinize the documents on the basis of which visa was granted to the students and found out later that the admission offer-letters were fake. Post this, deportation notices were issued to all the students after granting them an opportunity for a hearing.

Now the cunning agent never clearly sign on their visa application files and rather asked all the students to be the self-applicant without hiring the services of any agent. This was deliberately done by Mishra as he had faked the documents.

Claims Not Accepted by CBSA because of No Evidence

The claims of the innocence of the students was not accepted by the CBSA officials as the “victims” had no evidence to prove that agent Mishra prepared and arranged all documents.

The CBSA was also not accepting the failure of the Canadian visa and airport authorities that issued visas and allowed them entry by checking the authenticity of all documents.

The only option in front of the students was to challenge the deportation notices in court where proceedings may continue for 3 to 4 years and it even every dog in the street knows that hiring the services of Canadian lawyers is a very costly proposition.

When the parents back in India tried to contact the agent in Jalandhar, then his office was found locked continuously.
