Xiaomi aims to set the record for the most powerful and fastest charging in the world with a 210W charger.

Current record holder
The present record is held by iQOO.
The iQOO 10 Pro was released in July with 200W fast charging that completed charging in 10 minutes.
Testing 200W charger
Xiaomi had earlier demonstrated a 200W charger capable of charging a 4,000mAh battery from 0-100% in just 8 minutes.
It did this with a custom version of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro which never hit the market.
It’s safe to say that with using a 210W charger the time will be much shorter.
Why didn’t they release it?
However, it never actually launched the 200W charger.
The company said that this would affect the handset’s overall battery life where it would lose 20% of its original capacity after 800 charging cycles.
This amounts to about 2 years of usage if the phone is charged at least once a day.
The company has received the Chinese 3C certification for the charger, which means that it can be used in commercial products.
Debut with upcoming series?
There’s no certainty as to which device the charger could debut with.
However, top Android news sites posit that it could be the Xiaomi 13 Ultra.
Xiaomi is expected to introduce its Xiaomi 13 flagships at the very end of this year so this could be possible.
Charging time depends on battery size
The 8-minute record is for 4,000 mAh batteries, so the time may differ if the battery is larger.
It is wiser to use smaller batteries with this kind of charging speed since a few minutes will last for several hours.
