Launch
The latest lineup comprises two smartphones, the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro.
They are believed to be launched in November 2022.
Display
Digital Chat Station claims that the company will go with a non-curved display in one new flagship, possibly the vanilla 13.
The leaker revealed that Xiaomi is planning to slap a Quad-HD LTPO display with an AMOLED panel.
This allows the phone to achieve that curved-edge effect at the right and left edges of the screen.
Processor
Reportedly the phone could be powered by a SM8550 chipset which is believed to be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.
This would make the 13 series one of the first (if not the first) Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered Android flagship smartphones in the world.
OS
The handset could feature a ceramic back cover made by BYD.
Coming to the OS, both Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro are expected to run on Android 13.
The company has now released the first stable build of MIUI 13 based on Android 13 for its flagship Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro.
Battery
The Xiaomi 13 could feature a self-developed IC that allows the smartphone to offer 100W wired fast capability in a single cell battery.
Reportedly it will get an upgraded version of the Surge P1 chip for relatively more effective power management.
