Suzuki has launched two new 125cc scooters in Taiwan- Swish 125 and Saluto 125.
Both receive a facelift along with some other changes in this yearly makeover.

Pricing
Swish has been priced at NT$82,800 (approx. INR 2.21 lakh) and Saluto is offered at a price of NT$83,800 (approx. INR 2.24 lakh).
Although both share the same internals, they differ in their appearances.
The Swish adopts a modern futuristic design language while the Saluto retains its old-school retro charm.
2022 Suzuki Swish 125cc
The scooter has been designed to give it a sporty appeal, bearing a sharp design with several cuts and creases and faux air intakes.
Some of its styling may remind one of Suzuki’s flagship motorcycle Hayabusa.
- Exterior
It gets a single-pod LED headlamp cluster mounted on the front apron that comes with integrated LED DRLs and bulb turn indicators.
It is offered in three dual-tone colour schemes that are inspired by Hayabusa including Black/Gold, Silver/Red, and Blue/Silver.

It has a loaded features list including:
- USB charging port
- Fully digital instrument cluster
- Anti-skid footboard
- Front glove box
2022 Suzuki Saluto 125cc
The retro design on the Saluto is reminiscent of the Vespa.
It features sleek body panels which lend it a very neat look.

On the front it gets a rounded LED headlamp cluster with chrome or blacked-out bezel depending on the colour option.
It is offered in two paint schemes namely Luca Green and Genoa Red.
The apron features turn indicators with integrated LED DRLs.
Other external features include:
- Circular rearview mirrors
- Flat seat
- Air scoops on side panels
- Chunky single-piece grab rail for the pillion
- Anti-skid strips on the footboard
Despite an old school design, the features list is anything but.

Notably, both the Saluto and the Swish lack any form of connectivity tech.
Engine And Hardware Specs
Both scooters are powered by a new 124cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) technology.
The single-cylinder air-cooled motor generates 8.67 bhp power and 9.6 Nm of peak torque.
Suspension duties on both are handled by conventional telescopic forks at front and a mono-shock at rear.
For braking or stopping, the scooters make use of a disc brake at front and a drum brake at rear.
India Arrival?
Suzuki’s India lineup comprises in total three scooters in the 125cc category- the Access, Burgman Street and Avenis.
Therefore the two new scooters are unlikely to be offered in India since Suzuki’s current portfolio already has the Avenis 125 as its sporty-scooter offering.
