Redmi K50 Series: Launch Date, Specs, Poco F4 GT, Xioami 12X Series In India
Redmi K50 series launch has been confirmed by company GM Lu Weibing. GM on Weibo announced that Redmi K50 launch will happen in February, probably around the Chinese New Year, which means that you can expect the phones to arrive before February 25th. An unknown Xiaomi handset with model number 21121210G was recently spotted on the IMEI database with the name Poco F4 GT, said to be the global variant the higher-end Redmi K50 model, the gaming phone.
Poco F4 GT will launch globally under POCO branding, as earlier spotted by Xiaomiui. Poco F4 GT will be the global variant of Redmi K50 Gaming Edition. Redmi K50 series will include four phones: Redmi K50, Redmi K50 Pro, Redmi K50 Pro+ and Redmi K50 Gaming Edition.
They will be powered by Dimensity 8000, Snapdragon 870, Dimensity 9000 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 respectively. The company has already teased the Redmi K50 Series has been teased with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, 120W ultra fast charging and a “Dual Vapor Chamber” heat dissipation setup.
Xiaomi also confirmed that the 120W charging technology will charge a 4,7000mAh battery in just 17 minutes.
Redmi K50 series will debut in February in China, while the devices will be rebranded in India. Poco F4 GT will come as a rebranded Redmi K50 Pro Gaming Edition in India.
Redmi K50 and Redmi K50 Pro will launch as Mi 12X and Mi 12X Pro. It also has been leaked that the upcoming Redmi K50 models will come with MIUI 13 out of the box. As last year, Redmi K50 series will also have a gaming edition smartphone just like Redmi K40 Gaming Edition or POCO F3 GT.
