Maruti Launches This CNG Car With 35.6 Kms/KG Mileage: Check Price, USPs
Maruti Suzuki has finally launched the CNG version of the new generation Celerio in India today.
We recently reported to you that the car has not received a major update since its first launch on Indian soil. Celerio’s 2021 design will be further promoted unlike the current Celerio model. Celerio was least expensive car to offer AMT transmission.

MSIL Launches CNG Variant Of New Generation Celerio
The new generation of the Maruti Suzuki Celerio was launched in November 2021, with an updated version of the brand’s 1.0L K-series engine.
And today, the CNG version has been launched, which will get the same dual jet 1.0-litre petrol engine as the standard Celerio, with a factory-fitted CNG kit bolted on to it.
Mr Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Director (Marketing & Sales), Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said that the S-CNG version in the previous generation Celerio made up for more than 30% of total sales.
He said, “The launch of All-New Celerio S-CNG will take us a step closer to our ambition of spearheading the mass adoption of green vehicles in India. The All-New Celerio S-CNG with new 3D organic sculpted design, energetic and spacious cabin, and S-CNG technology will offer customers an affordable, safe, and high-performance green vehicle.”
Celerio CNG Variant: Specifications, Features, And Price
The Celerio will be equipped with an engine that will generate 65.26 PS and 89 Nm when running on petrol, and 56.70 PS and 82.1 Nm on CNG, which is a bit more powerful than Wagon-R CNG and S-Presso CNG.
The engine is coupled with a 5-speed manual gearbox, and the CNG tank has a capacity of 60 litres.
The car’s trim level, VXi, will be priced at Rs. 6.58 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
It will also come with features like power windows (front and rear), manual AC, power-adjustable ORVMs, 14-inch alloy wheels (with wheel caps), two airbags, central locking, child safety locks, ABS with EBD, etc.
