Union Budget 2022 Date Announced: Check Live Budget Date, Time, Imp Details
The Parliamentary Budget session will be commencing on January 31 and President Ram Nath Kovind will be addressing this session.
Further, the first day of the Budget session will see the government presenting the Economic Survey, followed by the announcement of the Union Budget 2022-23 on February 1.
Parliamentary Budget Session
In simple words, the budget session of Parliament will commence with the address of the President to both the Houses.
On Friday, the Ministry of Parliament Affairs said, “I am further directed to inform you that the President will be pleased to address both Houses of Parliament assembled together at 11.00 am on Monday, the 31st January, 2022 and inform the Parliament about the reasons of its summons in terms of article 87(I) of the Constitution,” in a statement.
Further, the ministry announced, “the Union Budget for 2022-23 will be laid in the Rajya Sabha after its presentation in Lok Sabha on Tuesday, the 1st of February at 11.00 am,”.
The upcoming Budget session will be divided into two parts first will start from January 31 to February 11 and the next from March 14 to April 8.
The government plans to present the Budget for fiscal 2022-23 on February 1.
It is noteworthy here that there will be no sitting on March 18 on account of Holi.
Recently more than 400 staff members of Parliament had tested positive for Covid-19.
