Petrol Price Cut By Rs 25/Litre In Jharkhand
Jharkhand Govt has announced that the price of petrol in the state will be reduced by Rs 25 per litre, effective January 26, 2022.
Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren said, “Prices of petrol and diesel are touching the sky today. And this is affecting poor and middle class families. Despite having a motorcycle at home, a poor man can’t ride it because he has no money for petrol. He is not able to take is produce to the marketplace to sell it.”
This is the biggest reduction in petrol price, ever since Govt removed Rs 5 from the excise duty of petrol and diesel.
Who Are Eligible?
As per the directives issued by the Jharkhand Govt, only 2-wheelers will be able to avail this Govt sponsored discount on the petrol, and you need to have a ration card.
Once the petrol is filled, details need to be shared with the Govt, after which the subsidy of Rs 25 will be directly transferred to the users’ bank account.
In case any 2-wheeler rider doesn’t have a ration card, then he/she will need to pay the full price of petrol, which was Rs 98 yesterday.
We will keep you updated, as more details come in.
