Finally! Ola Starts Delivering Electric Scooters After 60 Days Delay: How To Book?
Ola’s electric scooters will finally hit the road on December 15!
The company is all set to deliver the much-awaited Ola S1 and S1 Pro.
CEO and Co-founder of Ola Electric Bhavish Aggarwal confirmed the date in a tweet, saying that the scooters are “getting ready”.
Ola S1 And S1 Pro
Ola S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters were launched earlier this year. The Ola electric scooter will be available in two models: the Ola S1 and the more powerful Ola S1 Pro.
Also, there will be a large display screen with an Android-based OS, app control, speakers, USB point for charging etc. There are three ride modes – Normal, Sport and Hyper, instant acceleration, stable high-speed ride, among others.
Ola Electric has also revealed the scooter can be charged using a standard 5A socket, or at one of its ‘Hypercharger’ charging stations, which are going live in over 100 cities at this time and will eventually cover over 400 cities.
Ola Electric CEO Bhavish Aggarwal released a video on Twitter with the caption ‘Gaddi nikal Chuki!’ The first batch of electric scooters has rolled out of the production facility, and they are on their way to being delivered around the country, according to the video. The company also plans to hold a special delivery event in Bengaluru for the first 50 customers.
Price
The Ola Series S e-scooter is predicted to have a range of more than 100 kilometres. The Ola S1 electric scooter has been priced at 1 lakh (ex-showroom), while the S1 Pro has been priced at 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom).
