Accenture Will Promote, Hike Salaries Of Almost 40,000 Indian Employees; Approximately 50% Are Women [Updated]

Leading IT services and software company Accenture has announced promotions and salary hikes across their organization, for the eligible employees.

Around 80,000 employees have received such promotions and salary hikes across all their campuses, globally.

And out of these unexpected salary hikes, and promotions, it’s speculated that 50% are from India.

Here are the interesting details..

Salary Hike For 80,000 Accenture Employees

Accenture has just announced that starting December, 80,000 employees will be promoted, and their salaries will be hiked.

Among these promotions, a record 1,030 are working as managing directors and 143 as senior managing directors in Accenture.

The exact amount of salary hike has not been revealed as of now.

Accenture informed that these salary hikes in December “reflect our commitment to providing a vibrant career path to all of our people, and are a recognition of the tremendous difference they are making to our clients, their colleagues, our shareholders, partners and communities.”

Record No. Of Indian Employees, Women Promoted

Out of 80,000 employees promoted by Accenture, almost 50% or 40,000 are from India. 

And out of 40,000 Indians promoted, 50% or 20,000 are women employees.

Accenture said, “In India, women represented nearly 50% of all promotions, and more than 30% at the managing director level.” 

Out of 6.24 lakh Accenture employees, 2.5 lakh are from India.

The promotions happened for employees in US, Europe, India and other locations where Accenture is currently present.

Overall, around 13% of all Accenture employees have received the promotions. In 2021 alone, more than 1.2 lakh employees working with Accenture received promotions.
