First Snapdragon 898 phone? iQOO 9 series will arrive early, and will launch with the upcoming Qualcomm flagship Snapdragon 898 SoC. iQOO 9 India launch has been tipped for January 2022. New reports of iQOO 9 series launch are doing rounds, spotted on the Indian IMEI database with an alleged model number V2171A leaking out iQOO 9 series key specs and India launch timeline. GizNext reported that the iQOO 9 series will launch in the country earlier than expected.
iQOO 9 could be the first smartphone to run on Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 898 chip.
Though other reports suggest Xiaomi 12 could become the first smartphone to run on Snapdragon 898 top-end chipset, which may launch before the end of the year
While, the iQOO 9 series launch will happen in January 2022. The upcoming series by iQOO will have two devices: iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Legend.
Coming to leaked iQOO 9 series specifications, the upcoming iQOO 9 series will run on the upcoming Qualcomm flagship chip, the Snapdragon 898 SoC.
The next on the list, the iQOO 9 Legend, will also feature the same chip. iQOO 9 Legend will feature an AMOLED curved display offering 120Hz refresh rate. Nothing else is out.
Other iQOO 9 series are not out yet. Recently iQOO 8 Legend also appeared on IMEI database, suggesting an imminent India launch. The smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 888 SoC backed by a 4,350mAh battery with 120W fast-charging support running on OriginOS with Android 11 on top.
