Acer India Hacked! Critical Data Of 10,000 Indian Customers On Sale On Dark Web
Acer has revealed that its servers in India were hacked, with hackers gaining access to 60GB of users’ data.

According to the company, the necessary authorities had been notified. Well, this is the company’s second data security breach this year.
“Upon detection, we immediately initiated our security protocols and conducted a full scan of our systems. We are notifying all potentially affected customers in India,”
An Acer Corporate Communications spokesperson told BleepingComputer.
Local law enforcement and the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team have been notified of the incident.
The hacker claiming to have stolen more than 60GB of data from Acer’s servers on a popular forum.
Client, corporate, financial, and login information for Acer’s numerous stores and distributors in the country are included in the files.

DESORDEN, a hacking group, released a video containing files and databases comprising 10,000 customer records and credentials for over 3,000 Acer approved distributors and merchants in India.
Acer has been the victim of a data breach for the second time this year.
So back then the hackers tried to get access to Acer’s servers, and for that, the attackers exploited a vulnerability in the Microsoft Exchange Framework.
