Honda’s New Rs 12 Lakh SUV Will Challenge Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos: Launch Date Revealed
The N7X concept was first shown by Honda in May of this year.
The SUV’s production version was supposed to debut in August during the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS). Unfortunately, the GIIAS has been postponed until November due to the pandemic.
The launch of the production version of the N7X had to happen at the end of the year, but again there are some changes, the date has been pushed back to September 21 due to a series of setbacks.
This was done to take advantage of the Indonesian government’s extension of the luxury tax discount for cars with engines under 1,500cc. Customers will only have to pay marginal tax on cars that fit into this group until December 31, 2021, under this provision.
Honda N7X In India
Although there has been no update from Honda India on this, the production version of the N7X would be a suitable option for India.
Honda N7X will be a major competition and will rival the midsize SUVs including Daihatsu Xenia, Toyota Avanza and others.
Honda N7X Engine
The Honda N7X will be driven by a 1.5-litre petrol engine with a power and torque output of roughly 121hp and 145Nm, respectively. A 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic transmission will be available. However, a hybrid powertrain appears doubtful for the vehicle.
