iPhone 13 series has finally been unveiled at the ‘California Streaming’ virtual launch event. This year there are four new iPhone 13 models: iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max, same as the iPhone 12 series from last year. The new generation iPhones come with better battery life, cameras, higher on-board storage, cinematic video recording mode, narrower notches and new processors.
As expected, the company ditched the 64GB versions this year.
The latest iPhones are powered by the new A15 Bionic SoC running on iOS 15. iPhone 13 India availability has been confirmed. Preorders will begin on September 17, and retail availability from September 24.

iPhone 13 mini price in India starts at Rs 69,900 for the 128GB model. The 256GB priced is at Rs 79,900 and 512GB version at Rs 99,900. iPhone 13 price in India starts at Rs 79,900 for 128GB version, while 256GB and 512GB models will cost Rs. 89,900 and Rs. 99,900 respectively. iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini are available in three storage variants each.

The high-end iPhone 13 Pro Max price in India starts at Rs 1,29,900, Rs. 1,39,900. Rs. 1,59,900 and Rs. 1,79,900 respectively for 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB models.

iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini come with flat-edge aluminium frames, same as last generation iPhones. It sports Ceramic Shield material on the front with IP68 dust and water resistance ratings. Apple has used surgical grade stainless steel for the iPhone 13 Pro models, offering a custom finish. The notch has narrowed down, while the four new iPhones have the same screen sizes as their predecessors.
The Pro models come with Apple’s ProMotion 120Hz refresh rate feature, can scale from 10Hz to 120Hz.
All the new iPhones come with Apple’s new in-house A15 Bionic SoC. It’s a 6 core CPU with two high-performance and four efficient cores, plus a 16-core Neural Engine. The company claims Bionic A15 will deliver upto 50 percent better performance than the leading processors in the market. iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini have A15 Bionic with a four-core GPU, while the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max get a five-core integrated GPU.
iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini have a new 12-megapixel wide-angle camera. It has 1.7um sensor pixels with an f/1.6 aperture and sensor-shift optical stabilisation.
The iPhones come with a new Cinematic video mode which supports rack focus, and one can shift focus between subjects even when moving. iPhone 13 Pro models feature new 77mm telephoto camera offering 3X optical zoom. Apple promised 1.5 hours better battery life on the iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13 Pro compared to last generation models, while Phone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro Max will achieve 2.5 hours better battery life.
