Tata’s New Electric Car Launched At Rs 11.99 Lakh; Gives 306 Kms In Single Charge!
Okay, so here is the big announcement! Tata Motors has launched the new Tigor EV in India with ex-showroom prices starting at Rs 11.99 lakh for the base XE variant and going up to Rs 12.99 lakh for the range-topping XZ+ (O) variant.
Tata Motors has declared that by 2025, it will launch 10 electric vehicles in India. Tata Motors does remind us about the popularity of Nexon EV. The Nexon EV, which sells over 500 units each month in India, is the company’s best-selling electric vehicle.
The Altro EV will be available in the market in the following months. It will be the company’s fourth electric vehicle to hit the road. Tiago EV and Tigor EV are the next in line.

Tata Tigor EV Varaints
The Tata Tigor EV have four variants with different price modules. These variants are XE, XM, XZ+, and XZ+ (O).
Battery
If we talk about the battery, it will have a 26-kWh lithium-ion battery and a new Permanent Magnet Synchronous electric motor that produces 55 kW and 170 Nm of peak torque. The lithium-ion battery has an eight-year warranty.
Charging
If you charge by a home charger it will take 8.5 hours to charge 80% while the fast charger can help to do the same in just one hour!
Tata Tigor EV Features
Exterior
The grille has been replaced by a new glossy black appliqué with a tri-arrow motif and a blue slat underneath.
It also has projector headlights, new horizontal fog lamps with integrated LED DRLs, redesigned alloy wheels with additional blue highlights, and reworked tail lamps.
Interior
The EV status of Tigor is indicated by blue accents. A 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, the audio is handled by a 4 speaker and 4 tweeter setup by Harman.
Tata is also offering the iRA connected car tech with 30+ features. The features include remote commands, intrusion alert, remote cooling, charging status, time to full charge and remote diagnostics.
Tigor EV gets dual airbags, an anti-lock braking system (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), a rear parking camera with parking sensors, and seat belt reminders for the front passengers.
