OnePlus 9T Launch Cancelled? We May See OnePlus 10 Launching Directly
OnePlus 9T launch may not happen in 2021. As per the rumours, the company is said to stop the T-series OnePlus phones from this year and directly launch OnePlus 10 series next year. While there already been a number of leaks surrounding OnePlus 9T and OnePlus 9T Pro, we still don’t know what’s in the pipeline for OnePlus ahead. The company recently was merged with its sister company Oppo, and might have different plans from now on.
OnePlus 10 specifications haven’t surfaced, and all present leaks seem vague.
The company recently launched two new Nord phones: OnePlus Nord CE 5G and OnePlus Nord 2 5G and seem to be going back to making better value for money phones than just focusing on flagships.
The OnePlus 9T cancellation news came from popular tipster Max Jambor, who tweeted that there will be no OnePlus 9T. The tipster also replied to one comment saying users should wait for the OnePlus 10 launch instead. The company has slowly entered the premium flagship space year by year ditching the flagship killer status, and is again getting back to the basics with the Nord range of phones, so may continue to do so.
There will be OnePlus flagship series, but probably the company is now planning to cut down on the number of premium phones they launch in a year.
The company launched three phones under OnePlus 9 series unlike two every year in each series. Even last year OnePlus ditched OnePlus 8T Pro, and we only got to see OnePlus 8T. In 2021, the company will probably ditch the whole T series.
OnePlus 9T, OnePlus 9T Pro Launch: What We Know So Far
Last month only, we got a set of fresh OnePlus 9T renders. The upcoming OnePlus 9T is said to come with Samsung’s 120Hz LTPO E4 flexible screen offering FHD+ resolution and variable refresh rate. The OnePlus 9T specifications leak mentioned that there won’t be a OnePlus 9T Pro model this year, same as 2020. The device will run on recently announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ chip.
OnePlus 9T will be the first phone to run the merged UI. OxygenOS will continue to run on the OnePlus phones globally, but it will share its codebase with ColorOS, we already saw some signs of ColorOS on the new OnePlus Nord 2 5G.
OnePlus 9T will offer Hasselblad cameras as the OnePlus 9 series. The upcoming OnePlus phone will feature a 32-megapixel front camera, and a rear triple camera system. The setup will include a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 8-megapixel secondary sensor and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. A new leak suggests, OnePlus 9T will feature a 108MP quad-camera system.
OnePlus 9T Launch, OnePlus 9T Price In India: All Hype?
OnePlus 9T launch was earlier said to happen later this year, and was expected in October. Even OnePlus 9T price leak suggested a similar price range as OnePlus 9. Now, however, it seems OnePlus will not launch any T series model in 2021, but still need to wait more for a concrete update.
Max Jambor generally isn’t wrong with the renders, so we probably should now wait for OnePlus 10 and OnePlus 10 Pro.
This also means we may see more OnePlus Nord phones in 2021 in different price categories.
