Tata Tiago has been added with a new variant that sits below the existing XT trim. The XTO variant was introduced silently for Rs 5,47,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Because it lacks features like the Harman music system, AM/FM, USB, speed-based volume control, and Bluetooth connectivity, it is around Rs 15,000 less expensive than the XT.

In terms of its competition, the Tata Tiago goes up against the Maruti Suzuki Celerio, Wagon R, Hyundai Santro and the Datsun Go.

Tata Tiago XT(O)

As it lacks features like the Harman music system, AM/FM, USB, speed-based volume control, and Bluetooth connectivity, it is around Rs 15,000 less expensive than the XT.

The XT(O) shares most features with the Tiago XT, including 14-inch wheels with full wheel covers, a 12V power outlet up front, manual air conditioning, power windows front and back, motorised adjust wing mirrors, central locking, dual airbags, ABS, and rear parking sensors.

Engine And Gearbox

The XT(O) has a 5-speed manual gearbox, with the Tiago AMT available from the XTA variants up. Power comes from a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine that’s good for 86hp and 113Nm of torque.

XT Vs XT(O)

The Exterior

There are no major exterior differences between both variants including the car. Features like the coloured roof, ORVMs and door handles are common. The features  like14-inch steel wheels, LED turn indicators on ORVMs, Chrome strip on the grille, Integrated roof spoiler are present.

The interior

The interiors of both types differ significantly, with the XT(O) lacking key features. A 2-din audio head unit is included, which is no longer available on the updated model. Rear-view monitor, Harman Audio, Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, and Bluetooth Connectivity are among the other options that are lacking.

The XT(O) model, on the other hand, will come standard with four speakers and steering-mounted audio controls. This means the audio head unit could be offered as an accessory from the dealer.

Engine

When it comes to the engine, the main difference between the two models is that the XT(O) comes standard with a five-speed manual transmission. The XT trim, on the other hand, comes with a 5-speed AMT as an option.

The engine is the same, with a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine. With a maximum power output of 85 bhp at 6000 rpm. At 3300 rpm, the peak torque is 113 Nm.
