The government of Gujarat has now announced that the managers, owners, and employees of all businesses should be vaccinated against the COVID-19. If they are not vaccinated, the business will be shut down.
Gujarat Government Makes Vaccination Compulsory For All Businesses’ Employees And Owners
The notice by the government of Gujarat states that it is now compulsory for ‘managers, owners and staff of businesses/professional establishments’ to be vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus.
If they aren’t vaccinated by June 30, they will be forced to shut down their business. Tjis is applicable in the 18 cities and towns where night curfew is in place.
In the rest of the state, the last date for the employees to be vaccinated is set to be July 10.
The statement has been issued by the information department of Gujarat and states that the failure to comply with the regulation will result in a shut down of the establishment.
Night Curfew Imposed In Gujarat
The Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has stated that the night curfew will be extended in 18 of the 36 cities and towns of the state of Gujarat. The timing of the new curfew will be from 10 pm and will extend till 6 am.
It will be instituted in Rajkot, Ahmedabad, Gandhidham, Gandhinagar, Jamnagar, Surat, Bharuch, Bhuj, Morbi, Vadodara, Mehsana, Vapi, Ankleshwar, Junagadh, Patan, Bhavnagar, Navsari, and Valsad.
As per Chief Secretary Anil Mukim, “The new notification regarding extension of night curfew in 18 cities, including eight municipal corporations, and lifting of night curfew from 18 other cities will come into effect from June 27.”
Previously, there were reports that the states of Gujarat, Odisha, and Rajasthan also declared free vaccines for Covid19. In order to cover the beneficiaries between the age group of 18-45 for the vaccination drive which kicked off on May 1, the Gujarat government will procure one crore doses of Covishield and 50 lakh doses of Covaxin.
