Honda To Launch New 7-Seater SUV Soon?
The Honda N7X is a concept SUV that will be the basis for the vehicle that will go on to replace the Honda BR-V in Indonesia. This car is also expected to replace the discontinued SUV in India.
The car has a front that is similar to the Honda city and looks aggressive.
There also were reports about the launch of the new Honda compact SUV previously. While the launch is not yet confirmed, it is expected to be here by 2022 or 2023. The car will be pitted against the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport, and Mahindra XUV300.
The reason for the popularity of these vehicles is that it is a great fusion of specifications and affordability that they offer. As of now, almost all the leading car manufacturers are either already present in the market or for this segment or are planning to make their debuts soon.
Honda’s New SUV: Specifications And Features
Reports suggest that the SUV will come with two engine variants – a 1.0L turbo petrol and 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol with Honda’s compact hybrid system – e-HEV. The turbo petrol variant might be based on the new City and is capable of 120 bhp and 173 Nm. The transmission choices will include both manual and automatic units.
Also, the price of the SUV is expected to be between Rs 12 lakh to 20 lakh.
The car will also be fitted with multiple features, including an electric sunroof, cruise control, wireless smartphone charger, and large-screen infotainment unit.
The company’s Indian product portfolio states that the new Honda compact SUV will be placed above the Honda WR-V and it will be a global product. This means that the company will be launching the car in other emerging markets as well.
